IDS BASIC SPIR

Funded by FCDO, Laterite conducted the data collection and analysis in support of a research led by IDS to understand the impact of conflict on PSNP/SPIR activities in the regions of Amhara and Oromia. SPIR was a five-year project (2016-2021) supporting the implementation of the PSNP4 in which Laterite was the data collection partner for the impact evaluation. The evaluation aims to compare the different combinations of livelihood and nutrition components of the project on measures of household wellbeing, food security, child and maternal nutritional status and related outcomes. This follow-up analysis places a specific focus on conflict and its effects on the study areas. For this project, Laterite is conducting data collection and is supporting on the data analysis. Data was collected in about 1,000 households in Amhara and the data collection of 1,335 households in six woredas in Oromia is ongoing.
