Description

The UK's Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) helps people to live better for longer. It leads, shapes and funds health and social care in England, making sure people have the support, care and treatment they need, with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve. DHSC was allocated Official Development Assistance (ODA) funds under the UK Government's 2015 Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR). The Department's ODA activities are carried out for the primary benefit of patients and the public in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC), and contribute to mitigating the danger posed by global health threats, expanding our knowledge of global health issues, and improving public health in LMIC partners.
