Description

An international research institute that provides objective information on military, geopolitical and geo-economic developments that could lead to conflict. Activities include convening international conferences, disseminating IISS research and analysis through the Institute's publications; and developing a global membership network. The IISS is a registered UK charity and company with offices in Singapore, Washington and Bahrain. The Institute has a broad research agenda covering a number of themes. Institute research programmes include conflict, security and development; defence and military analysis; and nuclear non-proliferation. International aid and development projects are undertaken by the conflict, security and development programme.
