Description

Initiative for Relief and Climate Action (IRCA) is a non-political, not-for-profit, and nongovernmental organization based in Somalia. IRCA aims to save lives and combat climate change-related challenges through humanitarian relief and development interventions. As a local organization, IRCA is dedicated to promoting the rights and status of marginalized groups, enabling them to seek and secure sustainable livelihoods and creating a society that has equitable access to opportunities for all. IRCA works closely with the communities in its coverage areas through a participatory approach and the proposed action will address the root causes of displacement-specific vulnerabilities of IDPs, aiming for long-term solutions for displaced populations, building their resilience and working towards integrating them into the communities where they settled, while further progressing the communities and local institution’s capacity to effectively coordinate and lead on community-driven solutions .
