The Association des Éditeurs du Magazine Jimbere (ASSEMAJI in acronym) is a non-profit association governed by the present statutes and subsidiarily by the law governing non-profit organizations in Burundi. It is politically neutral and confessionally independent. The association has the following goals: - To work for a better understanding of the societal issues facing Burundian communities, regardless of their location (rural, urban or diaspora) - To produce regularly the Magazine "Jimbere", which defines itself as the echo of the youth and women of Burundi - Participate and support the improvement of the well-being of youth and women in Burundi, in all dimensions ("kuja-imbere mu mice yose y'ubuzima bw'urwaruka n'abakenyezi") - To promote art and culture in general in Burundi, and literature in particular - To defend the social debate
