Description
Mindset is a development, social research, and implementation consultancy firm that has designed and implemented impactful services and solutions in humanitarian and development settings since 2010. We bring diverse, cutting-edge, and in-country experience across the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL), and capacity-building realms. Our goal is to provide our partners with services that are evidence-based and with a deep understanding of the social, economic, cultural, and political contexts in which they work, to improve development outcomes and humanization outreach globally. • Research Rigor. At our core, we are a group of dynamic data scientists and research professionals. Our expertise covers all aspects of data collection, including quantitative and qualitative research design, sampling, questionnaire and interview guide formulation, scripting on data collection platforms, recruitment and training of staff, management of fieldwork staff, data processing, and data analysis and reporting. We also put in place strong quality control protocols, by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data collected during research. This includes conducting thorough reviews, implementing quality control measures, reviewing tools and procedures, conducting data cleaning and validation checks, and providing training and support to field staff. • Large-Scale Data Collection and Outreach Activities. We are experts at rapidly mobilizing teams for large and mega-sized enumeration projects. We possess the organizational capacity to handle a wide array of enumeration exercises, including fielding nationwide surveys covering hard-to-reach populations. We use robust data collection tools, which are highly scalable and enable the gathering of geospatial information. • Expertise with Vulnerable Populations. Through years of experience, we have developed expertise in working with vulnerable, under-served, and hard-to-reach populations. Our well-trained team has the knowledge and capability to work sensitively with refugees, displaced populations, children, people with disabilities, and other social minorities. • Programmatic M&E and TPM. Our technical team has extensive experience in conducting monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and third-party monitoring (TPM) for projects, starting from developing the theory of change to Data Quality Assessments (DQA) to performing the data collection and monitoring activities. We work with organizations to operationalize their M&E plans, first by advising on the best data sources for measuring outcomes, and then through data collection at every project stage: baseline, midline, and end-line. • Continuous Learning and Improvement. We have tested and deployed powerful tools and methods to track progress and improvement in real time. This enables our clients to track data and progress on a specific effort or intervention to ensure their interventions are actively monitored, continuously improved, and possibly scaled if success is evident. • Implementation Excellence. We are experts at rapidly mobilizing teams for large projects. We possess the organizational capacity to handle a wide array of technical and management exercises, including fielding staff nationwide and engaging hard-to-reach populations. We are focused on advancing and growing the research and data-driven sectors wherever we work. We engage our clients and beneficiaries in a collaborative, interactive training process and come away from our capacity-building events with practical new skills and targeted knowledge. • Responsive Management. Serving as responsive and valuable partners to our clients is at the apex of our mandate and is the driving force behind our success. We often serve as a go-to in-country partner, providing a range of solutions, including administrative functions like implementing large-scale interventions and activities and organizing complex events. • Geographic Presence. Mindset is incorporated in Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen, Nigeria, and Ukraine. We also operate through field staff and affiliate offices in Lebanon and Tunisia. We are able to mobilize in almost any setting or context if given the appropriate set-up time, even if we have not operated previously. This is due to our agile approach to setting up operations and vast international network of consultants and partners.
