Description

Obodo is a youth-led non-profit organization that seeks to further the normalization and mainstreaming of authentic Queer identities and stories in Nigeria through art, technology, and philanthropy. The major goal is to create an inclusive group of young, active queer people who would seek to mainstream and normalize queer identities and experiences in Nigeria. A community where queer people can reach their full potential and be true to their authentic selves, joined not by oppression and dehumanization but by our shared and equal humanity, the freedom to express that humanity in solidarity with others, and our common courage and fortitude. To achieve our mission, we have chosen to focus on five key advocacy areas: Art, Campaigns, Outreach, Tech and Safe Spaces.
