Orbis is an international sight-saving charity. Through innovative programmes and partnerships, Orbis creates long-term, lasting solutions to prevent and treat blindness worldwide. By training medical staff, strengthening in-country eye care services, expanding quality eye care provision and preventing eye conditions, Orbis is part of the solution.

Our IATI data covers our DFID-funded project in Copperbelt Province, Zambia for which Orbis Charitable Trust is the grant recipient, Orbis Africa is the delivery organisation and Orbis Zambia is the implementing organisation. Our data also covers our DFID-funded project in Gedeo zone, Amaro and Burji Woredas of SNNPR in Southern Ethiopia. Orbis Charitable Trust is also the grant recipient and Orbis Ethiopia is the implementing organisation. Combined, both projects account for around 15% of Orbis Charitable Trust's total programme funding in 2018.
