Description

Pastoralist Girls Initiative (PGI) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2001 as a Community Based organization (CBO) by residents of Garissa and Tana River Counties. PGI interventions focus on Education, Livelihoods, Health, Environment, Peace, Youth Empowerment and Women. Their goal is to have empowered pastoralist girls and women that are ready to defend their rights and occupy their rightful position in the community. PGI has previously received funding from DfID as a sub grantee, Welt Hunger Hilfe being the prime and Adam Smith International the fund Manager.
