Organisations / agencies covered
ur IATI data will initially cover all development-related activities carried out directly by SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD, including projects funded through internal investment, government partnerships, and any donor-supported initiatives focused on agriculture, food security, rural livelihoods, or environmental sustainability. Currently, this will cover approximately 100% of our externally funded development flows. All donor-supported or grant-funded projects will be included in our IATI reporting.
Timeliness of Data
SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD is committed to ensuring timely and transparent reporting of all development-related activities. We aim to publish data within four to six weeks after the close of each quarter to ensure that reported information reflects current progress, expenditures, and outcomes. This schedule allows for proper data validation and alignment with internal reporting cycles.
Frequency of publication
Quarterly
Frequency of publication (extra comments)
While we publish IATI data quarterly, certain high-impact or donor-funded projects may be updated more frequently if required. As our internal data systems improve, we plan to transition toward more frequent updates where feasible to enhance transparency and responsiveness.
Units of Aid
At SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD, an "activity" is typically defined as a distinct development initiative, such as a project or programme, designed to achieve specific agricultural, food security, or rural development outcomes. Activities may be internally funded or supported by external donors, government agencies, or private sector partners. We operate a multi-tiered project structure, where large programmes may be broken down into sub-projects or components (e.g., training, infrastructure development, input distribution, or value chain support). For IATI reporting, we intend to publish data at the primary project level, with references to sub-projects or components included where relevant and feasible. This approach ensures a clear and comprehensive representation of our work while maintaining reporting clarity and efficiency.
Segmentation of Published Data
At this stage, all IATI data will be published as a single consolidated file, as our development activities are exclusively based in Nigeria. Should our operations expand into multiple countries or regions in the future, we will consider segmenting data by country or region to enhance clarity and usability for stakeholders.
Data Definitions and References
We are in the process of developing a comprehensive Data Definitions and Reporting Guidelines document, which will be hosted on our website to clarify the terms, indicators, sectors, and classifications used in our IATI data. This document will align with IATI standards and reflect our internal Monitoring & Evaluation framework. In the interim, our reporting references IATI standard codelists and definitions available at: ๐ https://iatistandard.org/en/iati-standard/ Once published, our internal reference page will be available at: ๐ https://www.sugasglobal.com/iati-definitions (placeholder link)
Field Exclusions
n/a
Record Exclusions
At present, SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD does not use the following IATI standard fields: "Conditions" โ Our projects typically do not include formal conditionalities or funding conditions that would require this field. "Loan Terms" โ We do not currently operate any loan-based development activities; all reported funding is grant-based or internally financed. "Aid Type" โ While relevant in some contexts, we currently classify our financial flows under broad activity categories and are working to refine aid type tagging in future updates. "Sub-national Geographic Location" โ Due to limited GIS capacity at this stage, we do not provide precise geocoded data but plan to incorporate this in later phases as our data systems improve. We will review these exclusions regularly as our reporting capabilities evolve.
Thresholds
SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD currently has no formal financial threshold for excluding activities from IATI reporting. We aim to report all development-related activities, regardless of budget size, to ensure full transparency. However, in practice, very small internal initiatives or pilot activities under โฆ100,000 NGN (approximately $100 USD) may not be reported individually, especially if they are part of a larger, consolidated program. This is done to avoid administrative burden and maintain data clarity. We will periodically review and adjust this threshold as our reporting systems and capacity improve
Other Constraints
As a growing agribusiness in a developing digital environment, SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD currently faces a few constraints that may affect full compliance with all aspects of the IATI Standard: Technical Capacity: Limited access to automated data publishing tools and trained staff may impact the speed and granularity of data reporting. Connectivity Issues: Intermittent internet access in rural project locations may delay the collection and uploading of timely field-level data. Resource Constraints: Budget limitations may restrict our ability to implement advanced data systems (e.g., for geo-coding, disaggregated results). Confidentiality: Certain commercial or partnership agreements may contain sensitive information that cannot be published in full. We are committed to continuous improvement and will address these gaps as capacity and resources allow.
Data Quality
SUGAS GLOBAL AGRO LTD is committed to publishing accurate and reliable data in line with IATI standards. Our data is derived from internally verified records, financial statements, and project reports compiled by our operations and finance teams. While most data is operational and subject to change (especially in early project phases), we implement internal review processes to minimize errors. Financial data for externally funded projects is subject to independent audit in line with donor requirements. We continue to enhance our monitoring and evaluation systems to improve data consistency, timeliness, and completeness across all activities.
User Interface
We are developing a dedicated IATI Data Portal on our website to improve public access and transparency. This interface will allow stakeholders to view summaries of our development projects, funding sources, geographic coverage, and outcomes based on our IATI data. Until the full portal is live, we will provide access to our published IATI XML files and key project information through a static page at: ๐ www.sugasglobal.com/iati (placeholder) We aim to enhance this interface over time to include interactive dashboards and downloadable datasets for donor agencies, partners, and the public.
