Description

SLURC is a globally connected research centre based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. It was set up in 2015 in partnership between Njala University, Sierra Leone and University College London, UK. SLURC is committed to producing evidence to inform decision making for a fairer and more sustainable response to the critical development challenges facing urban Sierra Leone. Working in partnership with other institutions, SLURC builds the capacity of urban stakeholders and fosters action and influence to improve the well-being and living conditions of marginalized people in urban Sierra Leone, in particular those living in informal settlements. SLURC’s vision is a sustainable, socially and environmentally just urban Sierra Leone.
