TASS is a Somali-led national not-for-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1992 with a mandate to provide humanitarian aid and development. We transform lives across Somalia through disaster response, education, environmental sustainability and climate change adaptation, food security, gender, youth and peace building, health, livelihoods and economic empowerment, nutrition and social services, protection, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). Our Vision is to “alleviate human suffering, build resilience, foster growth and development towards a stable society where all people meet their needs and enjoy their rights”. Our Mission is “To provide humanitarian assistance to people in need, create space for human rights and freedoms, foster social and economic prosperity and good governance to improve livelihoods and human dignity”. With operations across Somalia, we empower displaced communities, refugees, and vulnerable groups by delivering critical services and fostering resilience. Recognized by the Somali government and trusted by local partners, we uphold justice, excellence, and dignity for all. We adhere to the highest humanitarian standards and principles providing services strictly based on need, regardless of and without discrimination based on clan affiliation, race, ethnic group, color, language, religion, political or any other opinion, national and social origin, fortune, birth or other status. In all our operations and work in close collaboration with public authorities and other partners to achieve our shared goals.
